Our Comm nity – It's missing u!

in 2009, we at the JRCC East Thornhill began offering full Shabbat and Holiday services to the community.
At first, only a handful of people would attend. But people started bringing their friends, and the word got around.
Now, over 25 families attend regularly, and another 100 families come by occasionally for major holidays and family occasions.

What about you?

A community synagogue is not just a place of prayer and meditation and inner peace, but also the central hub of community life.
A place where neighbors and friends gather for meaningful activities,
A place where every individual can learn and grow.
A place where families come together in an extended second home.

We would love for you to be an active part of the community, and for you and your family to experience all the benefits that come with it.

Please consider joining for one or all of the following:

  • Friday evenings features a soulful Kabbalat Shabbat service. You can also arrange to join us or another family for Shabbat dinner.
  • Saturday mornings we have traditional Shabbat morning services, including a fantastic kids program, followed by a kiddush buffet.
  • Saturday afternoons is a more intimate gathering for short services, group study, and light refreshments.

It would be wonderful if you could commit to joining once a week or one a month. (Don't worry, no one will come knocking on your door if you don't make it, but we will miss you.) Please let us know how often you would like to attend, and if there is anything we can do to make sure you and your family have everything you need to feel comfortable.

I want to join the Community Shul!
