 THE REBBE
Our mandate to serve the community was handed to the JRCC by the Rebbe, who taught us that, “The three loves: love of G‑d, love of Torah, and love of a fellow Jew are all one.” This is based on the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov that our love and concern for our fellow Jewish brothers and sisters, even those who we don’t know, should penetrate the very core of our being. It is the Rebbe’s teachings and his vision for Jewish unity, the oneness of Creation, and a harmonious future for all humanity that guide and inspire us. |
OUR MISSION IS TO ACHIEVE JEWISH IDENTITY, CONTINUITY AND INTEGRATION AMONG THE JEWS FROM THE FORMER SOVIET UNION AND THEIR FAMILIES RESIDING IN THE EAST THORNHILL AREA BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL, SPIRITUAL, RELIGIOUS, CULTURAL AND SOCIAL COMMUNITY SERVICES, BRINGING US CLOSER TO A REDEEMED AND PERFECT WORLD.
